Town Kitchen Expands Support for Small Businesses in Hino City
Town Kitchen, based in Koganei City, Tokyo, has been appointed as the designated manager of the public entrepreneurship support facility, "Hino City Tama-dai Forest Industry Collaboration Center (PlanT)". This initiative is part of the company's ongoing commitment to foster small businesses and contribute to local community development. The management at PlanT will commence on April 1, 2026.
Second Location for Town Kitchen
This new role marks the second designated management facility for Town Kitchen, following its successful operation of the "Higashi-Koganei Business Creation Center (KO-TO)". By leveraging the knowledge gained from KO-TO, the company aims to bring its expertise to Hino City, thereby expanding its impact in new areas.
Addressing Local Challenges
Hino City is characterized as a suburban area with a significant concentration of large residential complexes, universities, and factories. Given the challenges posed by declining population, aging demographics, and a shortage of skilled labor, there is an urgent need to create new economic contributors to bolster the local economy.
Since 2014, Town Kitchen has been managing KO-TO, collaborating with adjacent facilities such as "PO-TO" and "MA-TO". This partnership has successfully supported various entrepreneurial models, including small businesses and multiple income streams rooted in daily life. In addition to operating these facilities, Town Kitchen has been actively conducting entrepreneurship seminars, networking events, matching entrepreneurs with real estate opportunities, and managing media platforms to nurture local entrepreneurs and stimulate a favorable environment for new business creation.
By expanding its suburban entrepreneurship support model in Hino City, Town Kitchen hopes to diversify work styles and contribute to producing new economic contributors within the community.
A Hub for Small Business Growth
The management of PlanT will begin on April 1, 2026. The focus will not only be on traditional office work but will also prioritize the high-demand areas of classrooms, salons, and dining services that closely align with local lifestyles. Town Kitchen is committed to collaborating with local governments, universities, and businesses to invigorate small businesses that are deeply rooted in the community.
The goal is to develop these public facilities not just as places offering services but as fertile grounds for continual local entrepreneurial initiatives.
