Collaboration for Nerve Regeneration

On July 3, 2026, the Stem Cell Research Institute, based in Tokyo, and Neurotech Medical, headquartered in Osaka, will officially launch a partnership to advance the use of their placental-derived stem cell culture supernatant, "Family Supernatant®", in the domain of nerve regeneration.

The Stem Cell Research Institute, which dominates the domestic market with a 99% share in perinatal tissue-derived cell banking focusing on umbilical cords and cord blood, will collaborate with Neurotech Medical, known for its patented technology "Targeted Nerve Regeneration Therapy™" and unique "Targeted Rehabilitation™" approach, combining their expertise to enhance the provision of new medical services.

Outline of the Partnership

The Stem Cell Research Institute will manufacture the "Family Supernatant®" based on the directives of physicians from clinics associated with Neurotech Medical. Neurotech Medical integrates its patented "Targeted Nerve Regeneration Therapy™" and original "Targeted Rehabilitation™" into its "Renewro®" service. This partnership will allow physicians at partner clinics to consider using "Family Supernatant®" as one of the options for medical treatment in the area of nerve regeneration based on the patients’ conditions.

The "Family Supernatant®" service offered by the Stem Cell Research Institute utilizes cryopreserved umbilical cord-derived stem cells to manufacture stem cell culture supernatant. This unique service is the only one of its kind currently available in Japan and is registered as a trademark.
