Exciting Announcement from Hamada Hospital

Due to popular demand, Hamada Hospital is thrilled to announce a repeat presentation of our seminar on women’s health, titled “Bone Health and Quality of Life: Key Knowledge on Bone Care and Treatment.” This seminar is scheduled for September 10, 2025, and focuses specifically on osteoporosis and related issues that often affect women.

Hamada Hospital, a historical medical institution with roots dating back to the Meiji era, honors its legacy by consistently providing the highest quality of healthcare using the latest medical techniques. Recently, since June 2025, we have introduced outpatient orthopedic services to better serve our community, particularly in addressing women's health issues.

Our initiative to raise awareness about orthopedic issues concerning women includes a series of seminars led by our skilled medical professionals. The objective is to share valuable insights on bone health, as well as the hospital's commitment to supporting women through their health journeys.

The upcoming seminar will feature Dr. Shunsuke Katsumi, a dedicated physician specializing in spinal disorders. Dr. Katsumi is known for tailoring treatment plans based on the individual needs of his patients, ensuring the most effective care possible. It is crucial for women, especially those approaching their 50s, to be aware that the risk of osteoporosis increases significantly post-menopause. Unfortunately, early signs of osteoporosis often go unnoticed, making awareness and prevention all the more important.

During this seminar, Dr. Katsumi will explain the mechanisms behind decreased bone density and quality, while also providing practical advice on lifestyle habits and treatment options that can aid in prevention.

The previous seminar held in July was a huge success, reaching full capacity. We've received numerous requests from individuals who wished to attend, prompting us to enhance our program for this round. This seminar is open to all, whether you are concerned about your own bone health or the health of a family member suffering from osteoporosis. We encourage everyone to come and engage, as Dr. Katsumi will be available to answer questions during and after the presentation.
