ANTA's Innovative PG7 Midsole Technology Redefines Cushion Performance in Running Shoes

ANTAs Revolutionary PG7 Midsole Technology

ANTA, a leading global sportswear brand, launched the innovative PG7 midsole technology in 2024, setting a new standard for cushioning in performance footwear. This cutting-edge technology boasts an impressive Peak Gravity (PG) value of only 7.6, a significant improvement from its initial 7.8 value. The lower the PG value, the better the cushioning performance, making PG7 a game-changer in the athletic footwear industry.

In an exciting move, ANTA kicked off the global relay run titled "PG7 CUSHION EVOLUTION" which showcased this breakthrough technology to runners in 12 major cities worldwide including Shanghai, San Francisco, Boston, and New York. The relay began on April 12 in Shanghai, where two compelling live demonstrations captured the attention of participants. In one experiment, eggs dropped from a height of three feet remained undamaged when landing on the PG7 material, whereas those dropped on conventional EVA foam broke. In another test, a smartphone encased in PG7 material survived repeated impacts from a hammer weighing 30 pounds, further illustrating the superior impact absorption of this innovative technology.

The relay continued to gain momentum, making stops in cultural hubs like Chicago and New York, where, in Brooklyn, ANTA partnered with local running club Midnight Runners to bridge cultures through a shared love for running. This not only emphasized the functionality of the shoes but also fostered community engagement and connection among the running enthusiasts.

The upgraded PG7 technology was introduced alongside the new Travel Step 2 running shoes. These shoes feature not only a drop in PG value but also an enhanced design aimed at improving overall performance. The PG7 midsole is specifically engineered to better disperse impact, delivering exceptional energy returns with each step.

Moreover, the newly designed "wide toe box" ensures that a diverse range of foot shapes can experience true comfort, highlighting ANTA's commitment to accessibility in performance gear. The shoes also incorporate an advanced A-Grip rubber outsole for improved traction, paired with an asymmetric 3D-structured heel stabilizer that bolsters landing stability.

According to Samuel Tsui, CEO of ANTA Brand, the philosophy behind the PG7 technology is straightforward: to ensure that every runner has access to the right footwear that complements their style and needs. "Our goal with PG7 is simple: put the right shoe on every runner's feet."

The PG7 technology connects runners with the ground, reinforcing ANTA's mission to inspire performance and allow exploration beyond limits. With its innovative design and technology, the PG7 is not just about cushioning; it embodies a commitment to enhancing the performance of every runner, whether they are training for a marathon or enjoying a casual jog.
