Delectrik Systems' Revolutionary Battery Initiative in India



In a groundbreaking move for India's sustainable energy landscape, Delectrik Systems is embarking on its most ambitious project yet—the deployment of the nation's first industrial-scale vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB). The Project Partnership



The initiative is made possible through a collaborative effort between Delectrik Systems and Bondada Engineering Limited, renowned for their expanding infrastructure solutions. This joint venture received the project approval from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, which is India's largest integrated energy conglomerate boasting an installed capacity exceeding 90 GW. NTPC has ambitious plans to achieve 149 GW of total capacity by 2032, with a target of 60 GW coming from renewable sources alone.

Innovation at Scale



Delectrik Systems will make use of its unique non-containerized Flow Battery architecture, specifically designed for large-scale applications across commercial, industrial, and utility settings. The installation is slated for commissioning in 2027 at the Khavda Solar Park, expected to become the world's largest renewable energy park with a staggering production capacity of 30 GW by 2029. Prior to this, Delectrik successfully deployed a smaller version of this technology (3 MWh) at Greater Noida, further proving the efficacy of their designs.

A Historic Milestone

Future-Ready Energy Storage



To support this initiative, Delectrik has established two wholly-owned subsidiaries: Delectrik Resources Pvt Ltd (DRPL) and Delectrik Esaas Pvt Ltd (DEPL). DRPL will engage in upstream activities to produce vanadium oxide and will work towards complete enrichment, including the management of vanadium-related assets. On the other hand, DEPL aims to provide energy storage services to various commercial and industrial clients, particularly focusing on data centers.
