China Tourism Group Highlights Sustainability During 'Travelogue of China' Media Tour

China Tourism Group Highlights Sustainable Initiatives

In late November, the China Tourism Group (CTG) made headlines by presenting its sustainable tourism initiatives during the International Media Communication event titled 'Travelogue of China 2024.' This event was a joint effort with the China Public Diplomacy Association and Global Times Online, heralding a new era of responsible tourism.

A Journey Through Eco-Friendly Development

The media tour commenced at CTG's Anji Hele Valley, located in the picturesque Huzhou city, within China's Zhejiang province. This area was developed under CTG International, and it stands as a beacon of sustainable development. The guiding philosophy is straightforward yet profound: "Clear waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets."

Li Jian, the General Manager of Hong Kong CTS (Anji) Tourism Development Co., Ltd., emphasized the principle of minimal intervention in the valley's development. Every architectural design adopts eco-friendly technologies, significantly reducing environmental impact. This careful planning ensures that pathways and trails respect the natural topography, preventing damage to local tea plantations, bamboo groves, and water sources. This approach allows visitors to immerse themselves in nature without causing disruption.

As the media delegation traversed through the land, they were taken to Qiandao Lake in Hangzhou, where they witnessed the successful integration of ecological protection and tourism development. Wei Hong, the Deputy General Manager of CTG (Zhejiang) Qiandao Lake, shared that this scenic area attracts over two million tourists annually, serving as a crucial contributor to the local economy while also creating jobs. It is a part of a narrative that spans generations, with local residents actively engaging in the building and operation of the national-level tourist zone around Qiandao Lake.

International journalists, including Aiperi Temirova from NEWS.KG in Kyrgyzstan, expressed their admiration for the meticulous care local communities take towards environmental conservation. She noted, "The attention paid to conservation is impressive and has a positive impact on the local community."

Showcasing Achievements in Ecological Civilization

Throughout their journey, the media delegation witnessed firsthand the achievements made by Zhejiang province in ecological civilization and green transformation. They observed various efforts aimed at creating a high-quality economic development model that harmonizes the relationship between humans and nature. Through various news platforms and social media, journalists were able to share their experiences, painting a true and comprehensive picture of modern China.

Ecaterina Reveaco, an editor from Noi.md in Moldova, expressed a desire to return to China with her family to explore the beautiful places they had visited on the tour.

The emphasis on sustainable tourism during this media tour not only highlighted the initiatives by China Tourism Group but also served to enhance global understanding of China's commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development. The 'Travelogue of China' media tour stands as a testament to the importance of integrating tourism with ecological responsibility, ensuring that future generations can also enjoy these breathtaking landscapes without compromising their integrity.

Furthermore, this event is part of a larger movement within China to promote tourism models that are environmentally friendly and economically viable. The CTG's efforts are helping to set a standard for sustainable tourism practices worldwide, positioning China as a leader in responsible travel.

In summary, the 'Travelogue of China' media tour not only showcases the beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritage of the region but also emphasizes the profound commitment of China Tourism Group towards sustainability and ecological preservation, setting an inspirational example for others to follow.
