Chirisa Technology Parks Welcomes Spencer Raymond as CFO
Chirisa Technology Parks (CTP) has recently announced the appointment of Spencer Raymond as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective in February 2025. This decision comes as part of CTP's strategic initiative to bolster its financial operations and cater to the increasing demand for high-performance computing and advanced technologies, particularly in the realms of hyperscale, high-performance computing (HPC), and artificial intelligence (AI).
Spencer Raymond brings over two decades of experience in financial leadership, predominantly within the real estate and asset management sectors. His previous position as CFO of Rockpoint showcased his capability in driving significant shareholder value, where he successfully orchestrated the growth of assets under management (AUM) from $4 billion to an impressive $16 billion at its peak. During this tenure, he was pivotal in managing numerous capital transactions and raising vital debt and equity to fuel growth. Furthermore, he played a crucial role in establishing a vertically integrated property-level services division that currently operates nationally.
Lee Hayes, President and CEO of CTP, expressed his enthusiasm over Raymond's addition to the leadership team, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Spencer as our CFO. His extensive background and proven track record will undoubtedly support our ambitions to accelerate the rapid growth of our business, especially with regards to our hyperscale customers who are expanding their AI and HPC capabilities in response to global demand."
The appointment of Raymond underscores CTP's commitment to enhancing its financial strategy, which encompasses areas such as debt and equity capital formation, compliance, planning, reporting, and financial risk management. As CTP prepares for rapid expansions, the firm anticipates focusing more on leading-edge critical facility financing, development, and management in the upcoming year.
Prior to joining CTP, Raymond co-founded Pleasant Lake Partners, where he spearheaded business development, fundraising, and investor relations for a global concentrated equity long-short fund. His earlier professional journey also led him to serve as CFO of Garrison Investment Group, managing a diverse portfolio with a focus on opportunities in real estate and corporate credit markets.
Raymond's career commenced at Ernst & Young, where he was a senior audit team member, offering him a strong foundation in financial auditing and compliance. He holds a prestigious Magna Cum Laude degree from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management and is celebrated for his leadership as captain of the Men’s NCAA Division I Swim Team.
His international experience spans across the USA, London, Singapore, and Frankfurt, contributing to his holistic understanding of global finance and operations.
Spencer Raymond will be positioned at CTP's offices in Virginia, USA, ready to tackle the challenges ahead as the company aims for a significant market presence in advanced computing facilities.
As CTP prepares for the future, the integration of such a seasoned professional highlights the significance placed on financial stability and innovation, setting the stage for transformational growth in the tech sector.
