Mizuno Unveils New Uniforms for 2025 Japanese National Gymnastics Team

Mizuno Corporation has officially revealed the new uniforms for the Japanese national gymnastics and trampoline teams for the upcoming 2025 season. Under their contract as the official supplier to the Japan Gymnastics Association, Mizuno has taken charge of the complete design and production of these uniforms.

Men's Uniform Design Themes: Tradition and Lightning

The men's uniform design encapsulates two key themes: “Tradition” and “Lightning.” The color red plays a central role in the “Tradition” theme, featuring a graphic inspired by the traditional Japanese arts of ink flow. It expresses the athlete's dynamic performances while embodying the fighting spirit of Japan as inspired by the national flag.

The “Lightning” aspect is represented by blue lines that evoke the image of electric flashes, capturing the acrobatic brilliance and elegance showcased during routines. Gold accents are added to symbolize an unshakeable determination for victory.

Women's Uniform Design Theme: Frontier

In contrast, the women’s uniform theme is defined as “Frontier.” The design features sleek black lines that visualize elegance and an inherent strength. These elements are combined with soft gradients that evoke a sense of nature, merging urban sharpness with the fluidity of organic forms.

Uniform layers made of various materials in similar color palettes beautifully illustrate a coexistence of contrasting elements: nature and artificiality, stillness and motion, flexibility and sharpness.
