Ace Green Recycling Partners with OM Commodities for Lead Supply in Texas Facility

Ace Green Recycling Secures Major Lead Supply Agreement

Ace Green Recycling, Inc., a frontrunner in sustainable battery recycling solutions, has taken a monumental step in its operations by securing a robust supply agreement with OM Commodities. This partnership is pivotal for Ace as it progresses toward launching its flagship recycling facility in Texas, expected to begin production in 2026.

Under the terms of this notable agreement, OM Commodities will provide Ace with a minimum of 30,000 metric tons of lead scrap on an annual basis. This lead supply will sufficiently meet 100% of the initial recycling capacity for Ace's Texas operations, ensuring they have the necessary resources to efficiently commence their recycling efforts. The agreement spans a generous timeframe of at least 15 years, allowing for scalability in Ace's operations as they continue to expand their capabilities in the recycling sector.

With over 1.5 million metric tons of lead battery scrap available for recycling within the United States, the collaboration is expected to address the critical shortfall currently found in smelter capacities while promoting a more sustainable supply chain for battery materials domestically. Alicia's innovative GREENLEAD® technology stands out in the industry due to its fully electrified process that produces zero Scope 1 emissions and boasts an impressive recovery rate of up to 99% of battery-grade lead, ensuring high purity levels exceeding 99.98%.

Nishchay Chadha, co-founder and CEO of Ace, emphasized the importance of the Texas facility not just for the company but for the lead industry as a whole. He stated, “This facility is positioned to tackle many of the challenges faced by the lead industry in the U.S. while fulfilling the increasing demand for battery materials.” The partnership with OM Commodities enables Ace to realize its ambitious plans of operating efficiently while contributing positively to environmental sustainability.

Furthermore, the announcement comes alongside Ace's progress towards becoming a publicly traded entity on the Nasdaq Stock Market with the filing of their Form S-4. This strategic move is anticipated to be fundamental in the company's growth trajectory, driving their scale-up efforts in lead and lithium battery recycling technologies. Mr. Chadha noted, “As we continue to grow, we envision our upcoming listing as a catalyst for future successes.”

Ace Green Recycling's founders bring a wealth of experience from various sectors including recycling and supply chain management, enabling them to approach battery recycling with a fresh and efficient mindset. Not only do they aim to provide effective recycling solutions, but they also prioritize environmental stewardship through innovative and sustainable practices.

As Ace Green Recycling prepares for its new facility and public listing, the collaboration with OM Commodities exemplifies a significant vote of confidence in its mission and capabilities within the recycling community. This agreement not only strengthens Ace's operational framework but also reinforces its commitment to sustainable practices that benefit both the industry and the environment, ensuring that essential materials are efficiently and responsibly recycled.
