MND SNOW Introduces Innovative Snowmaking Solutions for Ski Resorts

A New Era in Snowmaking: MND SNOW's Latest Products

At the recent INTERALPIN 2025 event held in Innsbruck, Austria, MND SNOW showcased a transformative range of snowmaking solutions designed for the modern ski resort. The French company, part of the MND Group, introduced its latest fan snowmaker and series of lance snow guns, designed to meet the increasing demands placed on ski resort operations amid changing climate conditions.

Taurus Snow Gun Series: Performance Redefined

The flagship of this launch is the Taurus series of lance snow guns. Renowned for their robust design and high output efficiency, these snow guns have become essential in some of the world’s most prestigious ski resorts. The Taurus range has been reengineered to provide improved modularity and performance to adapt to new snow production requirements.

  • - Taurus Line: This single-row lance is tailored for narrower slopes, where precision snow deposition is critical. Its innovative design ensures it produces snow efficiently in challenging environments while maintaining a smaller footprint.

  • - Taurus Pro: Setting a new standard for reliability and output, the Taurus Pro maximizes snow production, becoming the gold standard for high-demand applications. Ski resorts can trust this model to perform consistently, even in less-than-ideal conditions.

  • - Taurus Advanced: This model stands out with its three rows of nozzles and an extensive coverage angle of 160°. This enables it to deliver up to 40% more snow at equivalent startup temperatures compared to the Pro model, making it highly efficient for marginal temperature operations.

Each model within the Taurus line offers seamless interoperability, simplifying maintenance and integration into existing setups while utilizing integrated solenoid valves for responsive control.

Next-Level Fan Snowmaker

MND SNOW also unveiled a newly designed fan snowmaker, optimized for performance at marginal temperatures. Achieving efficiency levels between +20% to +30% over standard versions, this fan snowmaker is particularly effective for low-altitude ski sites or areas with restricted water pressure.

The fan snowmaker’s design not only incorporates technological advancements but also emphasizes environmental integration. Ski resorts can confidently use this equipment without compromising the natural landscapes surrounding their operations.

Addressing Climatic Challenges

Stéphane GAL, the Director at MND SNOW, expressed the company’s commitment to enabling ski resorts to adapt effectively to climatic changes. “Our latest innovations not only enhance production capabilities during narrower weather windows but also guarantee that the equipment remains reliable and high-performing,” GAL stated.

The new snowmaking solutions reflect a growing trend in the industry toward sustainable practices, ensuring that ski resorts can optimize their operations while minimizing environmental impact.

Technical Highlights:

  • - Optimized operation from a pressure of 10 bar, fostering adaptability in varying conditions.
  • - Over 30% performance enhancement in marginal temperatures ranging from -1°C to -4°C under low pressures.
  • - Water capacity of 15 m³/h translating to an impressive 35 m³/h snow production at 15 bar.
  • - Full compatibility with centralized air systems, allowing for a cohesive management approach.
  • - Environmentally friendly design elements to ensure minimal visual and ecological disruption.

This new range fortifies MND SNOW's position as a global leader in snowmaking technologies by marrying performance with sustainability, allowing ski resorts to thrive in increasingly variable climatic conditions. The firm’s centralized management systems, including the SNOW-cs supervision software, further empower resorts to maximize energy efficiency and operational flexibility.
