The Award Winners

Advocate Physical Therapy: Practice of the Year

Founded in 2022 with just a single treatment table, Advocate Physical Therapy has experienced phenomenal growth in a short period. The practice comprises eight dedicated therapists and five administrative staff, all working together to create an environment that promotes both provider and patient success.

Under the leadership of CEO Brus Layson, Advocate Physical Therapy emphasizes a culture of collaboration, flexibility, and growth. In the past year alone, the practice has bolstered its local presence, received multiple award nominations from the Chamber of Commerce, and expanded its range of services to cater to diverse patient needs.

"Our team is committed to supporting each other and every patient who visits our clinic," Layson remarked. "This recognition is a tribute to the effort of our entire staff over the years, and we eagerly anticipate the future."

For 2026, Advocate Physical Therapy plans to enhance its facilities further. This includes the addition of new treatment rooms, more gym and administrative space, and the development of a specialized technology clinic focusing on advanced therapies like shockwave and class IV laser therapy. They are also looking forward to the approval of their orthopedic residency and will enhance their advocacy efforts to promote the physical therapy profession.

Tilton's Therapy: Innovator of the Year

Tilton's Therapy has been setting new standards in Nevada by implementing a mobile therapy model that provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services in a variety of settings such as homes, schools, and community sites. This innovative approach captures a holistic view of patient care by integrating behavioral health and addressing the needs of underserved communities.

In 2025, the practice expanded its workforce, forged valuable partnerships in education and vocational rehabilitation, and significantly increased the number of patients served. Their impact culminated in securing Nevada's first Medicaid therapy rate increase, a landmark achievement following extensive advocacy.

"Receiving the Innovator of the Year award is a profound honor for our entire team," stated CEO Casey Melvin. "We believe that healthcare outcomes improve when patients receive support in their environments. Our operational model is tailored to that philosophy, and we are proud of the results we're achieving in communities lacking necessary care."

For 2026, Tilton's Therapy seeks to enhance its focus on data collection and reporting, establishing caregiver-coaching modules, and expanding its trauma-informed interventions. They aim to create streamlined mobile tools for real-time outcomes tracking.
