PMB and Abrazo Health Reach Construction Milestone in Goodyear, Arizona
On December 12, 2024, a significant milestone was celebrated in Goodyear, Arizona, marking the completion of the steel frame for the Abrazo Health Litchfield Medical Building. This event, known as the topping-out ceremony, was attended by PMB, a key player in healthcare real estate, along with local dignitaries and stakeholders. The new facility, which spans 46,000 square feet, is set to offer an extensive array of healthcare services, combining both outpatient medical offices and inpatient rehabilitation programs under one roof.
A New Era of Medical Services in Goodyear
This development represents the first combination medical office building and inpatient rehabilitation facility in Goodyear. Strategically located within the Palm Valley Shopping Center at 1355 N Litchfield Road, the project is designed for maximum accessibility, situated next to a vibrant retail environment and close to the I-10 freeway. This location is expected to significantly enhance the convenience for patients seeking healthcare services.
The new facility will include 24 inpatient rehabilitation beds, providing essential care for a variety of patients recovering from conditions such as strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and orthopedic injuries. In addition, the center will host services related to internal medicine and cardiology, ensuring comprehensive healthcare options for the community.
Celebrating Collaborative Efforts
The topping-out ceremony is a time-honored tradition in the construction industry, symbolizing the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in the project. As part of the ceremony, an evergreen tree and the U.S. flag were placed atop the building, signifying hope and growth. Jake Dinnen, Executive Vice President and Partner of PMB, remarked on the collective efforts of the project team, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in achieving this milestone.
“Reaching the topping-out stage for the new facility reflects the dedication and hard work of the entire project team, as well as the strong collaboration with our partners,” said Dinnen. “The ceremony provided an excellent opportunity to celebrate progress. We look forward to completing the construction and seeing the positive impact the services within this building will have on patients, families, and staff across the West Valley.”
Looking Ahead
The facility is expected to be completed by 2025, enhancing the healthcare landscape in the Goodyear area. With 27,000 square feet designated for Abrazo Health, alongside an additional 5,000 square feet for Medcure and 7,500 square feet for Arizona Desert ENT Specialists, the center will create a diverse and robust healthcare environment. In total, 6,500 square feet of space remains available for lease.
This initiative is backed by distinguished partners, including Devenney Group as the architect, Haydon as the general contractor, PMB Real Estate Services managing the property, and Siemens serving as the financing partner. Together, they are set to transform the healthcare delivery model in the region.
