The much-awaited bike touring event,
BLUE RIDE, is officially opening its registration on
July 15, 2026, at 12 PM. After a successful launch last year in Shizuoka and Shimane, it's time for riders to gear up for another thrilling experience, now taking place in the scenic regions of
Yamaguchi and the
Kanagawa-Tokyo area.
What is BLUE RIDE?
BLUE RIDE is a unique biking event designed to take participants on a glorious tour around the coastline of Honshu, Japan's main island. The objective? To visit designated spots and collect digital stamps, culminating in the chance to earn a
Completion Certificate when reaching the required number of stamps. This event not only promotes tourism but also fosters local business and attractions through partnerships with various municipalities.
2026 Event Overview
This year's event spans from
October 10 to December 6, giving cyclists nearly two months to experience the thrill at their own pace. Participants can choose to ride solo or form groups, creating an enjoyable atmosphere for everyone involved.
The two main areas for this year's event include:
- - Yamaguchi: Featuring coastal roads that outline the westernmost point of Honshu, especially highlighting the stunning Bisha-no-hana region.
- - Kanagawa-Tokyo: A scenic route from the Miura Peninsula all the way to the Tokyo Bay area, showcasing the vibrant coastal landscapes.

To enrich the participant experience, BLUE RIDE offers several engaging elements:
- - Flexible Riding Schedule: Riders can participate on weekdays or at their convenience over the duration of the event, allowing for personalized riding experiences.
- - Open for All Bike Types: Whether you ride a heavyweight motorcycle or a lightweight scooter, as long as it’s a two-wheeler, you can join with no restrictions on engine capacity.

Registration Details
- - Entry Fee: 4,000 JPY (tax included), which covers:
- Participatory sticker (starting number 0001)
- Digital stamp rally account charge
- Completion certificate (for verified riders)
Optionally, for an extra 550 JPY, participants can get their certificate and a wooden keychain mailed to them.
