Huawei Unveils AI Education Center Solution
At the 2026 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Huawei hosted a significant summit titled "Education + AI, Embracing an Intelligent Future." The tech giant, alongside industry partners and clients, launched its AI Education Center (AIEC) solution aimed at transforming education in primary and secondary schools by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the learning process.
During the event, Huawei's Vice President and CEO of the Global Public Sector BU, Li Junfeng, articulated the ambitious goals of AIEC, emphasizing the need to lower barriers and enhance coverage in future AI education. As a crucial player in promoting digital and intelligent education, Huawei aspires to collaborate with various partners to create innovative solutions tailored for the education sector, focusing especially on AI-based scenarios.
The AIEC solution is designed to deliver systematic education on AI, empowering students with essential skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital society. It comprises a robust infrastructure that includes hardware, model services, application platforms, and an AI-based laboratory management system tailored for educational environments. This makes AI education accessible to students of different ages, ensuring they are equipped with foundational skills crucial for the future workforce.
Currently, the solution has made its debut in the Zhejiang province of China. In partnership with CourseGrading, Huawei is providing AI education platforms to over 500 primary and secondary schools. This platform boasts advanced AI computing power, extensive open-source models, and access to over 10 practical AI projects, along with more than 50 experimental tools and applications. These initiatives are anticipated to engage around a million students in the near future, broadening the reach of AI education dramatically.
Moreover, the summit also launched a global demonstration project of the AI Education Platform in conjunction with the Pui Kiu Middle School, showcasing practical applications of AI technology in secondary education. This initiative not only presents innovative AI applications in education but also offers replicable models for global digital transformation in the educational landscape.
The rolling out of Huawei’s AIEC represents a significant milestone in the synergy between education and AI. Looking ahead, Huawei is committed to acting as a technological bridge, fostering an open ecosystem with global partners. The goal is to unlock the potential of every child and create a future where educational equity and technological progress coexist.
In summary, by pioneering the AIEC solution, Huawei is positioning itself at the forefront of the AI educational revolution, aiming to inspire a new generation of innovators and leaders in the tech space. As AI continues to evolve, so too will the opportunities it creates within classrooms, equipping students with the necessary tools to navigate a technology-driven world.
