Apart from mentorship, the Sheetz family's commitment includes the establishment of a state-of-the-art Nursing Skills Lab. With ten training stations, the lab will accommodate practical competencies in vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and other essential nursing skills.

As Slippery Rock University prepares to launch a new Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in 2026, the lab will streamline skills training for students, ensuring they are ready for real-world scenarios in the healthcare industry.
