Digital Hollywood Inc., a major player in IT-related education and digital content training, has recently announced its engagement in the 'DX High School Support Project' in Nagano Prefecture. This initiative, set to commence in July 2026, aims to empower educators and facilitate industry-academia partnerships in the realm of digital transformation (DX).

Overview of the DX High School Project

The DX High School Support Project is a Ministry of Education initiative designed to bolster the nurturing of talent in growing fields such as digital technology at the high school level. By implementing a curriculum focused on key subjects like information and mathematics, this program supports schools advancing their ICT-enabled interdisciplinary and exploratory learning methods. In 2026, 1,249 schools across Japan will be chosen, including 21 schools from Nagano Prefecture comprising 17 public and 4 private high schools.

Objectives of the Project

Digital Hollywood's mission within this project focuses on two main areas:

1. Digital Talent Development Training for Educators: The initiative will extend beyond the selected DX High Schools, offering training for teachers at public and private high schools throughout Nagano. This program aims to equip educators with the knowledge and practical skills to effectively utilize ICT tools and AI technologies. The training will consist of eight sessions, including one in-person meeting and seven online sessions. After the in-person training, participants will have opportunities for follow-up consultations to solidify their understanding of the material.

2. Matching DX High Schools with Local Information Service Providers: The program will assess the needs and challenges of selected DX High Schools in Nagano. By facilitating communication between schools and local service providers, the aim is to create collaborative projects that align with real-world problem-solving and practical investigation themes. This connection will help foster educational experiences that engage both the schools and their surrounding communities.

Training Details

Digital Hollywood will provide comprehensive training focusing on a range of topics pertinent to the digital landscape. Key topics include:

- Programming with Python and JavaScript
- Digital ethics and information morality
- Network security fundamentals
- 3D printing and digital creation
- Using the metaverse for educational purposes

During these eight sessions, the initial in-person session will be followed by a networking event, giving participants a platform for individual consultations and exchanges to enhance their learning experience. Furthermore, ongoing support will be available throughout the 2026 fiscal year for any questions or clarifications needed by the educators.

Additional Efforts to Support Educators

In addition to the training, the project includes providing e-learning materials concerning digital skills for the interested high school teachers for an entire year. These resources will cover various topics such as:
