An Insight into Mobility Village 2025 at Japan Mobility Show
In a bid to redefine the role of mobility, CarLifeJapan, in collaboration with the Japan Mobility Show Nagoya 2025 Executive Committee, is preparing to launch the ‘Mobility Village 2025’ from November 22-24, 2025. This initiative takes place at Port Messe Nagoya, blowing life into the concept of a co-creative business matching platform. The focus lies on integrating mobility with lodging, disaster prevention, and tourism.
The event aims to tackle the escalating challenges faced by municipalities and businesses—issues like accommodation shortages, secondary transportation, and community circulation are demanding urgent solutions. Mobility Village stands out as a space where experiential learning and implementation come together, enhancing networking beyond mere business card exchanges. Attendees will find opportunities for immediate matchmaking and ongoing dialogue within this unique setting.
Why Now?
As the mobility landscape transforms, there’s a critical need to make vehicles multifunctional. Vehicles are evolving from merely being modes of transportation to platforms for staying, business discussions, and even disaster prevention. Therefore, Mobility Village will incorporate a decentralized hotel function directly within Port Messe, addressing the acute lodging shortage with innovative solutions such as camper vans, trailer houses, and disaster infrastructure (toilets, kitchens, bedrooms). A comprehensive design aims to merge exhibition, experience, and business negotiations into one seamless package.
According to Yuichiro Nose, CEO of CarLifeJapan, “Mobility Village serves as an experimental gateway to expand the car’s role from a mere transport tool to a platform for lodging, discussions, and disaster management. It’s a space where companies, municipalities, governmental bodies, and startups can experience inconveniences firsthand and collaborate in finding feasible solutions.”
