In a remarkable collaboration with Ash Concept, a prestigious design company renowned for its innovative approach, the hotel presents the ANNIVERSARY MUG 6th 'E'.

This limited-edition mug represents more than just a keepsake; it embodies the hotel’s essence and the experiences guests have enjoyed during their stay. Having initiated this annual tradition three years ago, the hotel aims to create a product that evokes nostalgic reflections on the time spent at the hotel, evolving through different themes each year. The culmination of this effort demonstrates the hotel’s commitment to weaving its story into the everyday lives of its guests.

The journey leading to the ANNIVERSARY MUG began three years ago. Through meticulous trials, careful adjustments were made to the color, design, and layout of the lettering. The mug features a symbolic design inspired by coffee culture, which aligns with the hotel’s ethos, brought to life through the creative vision of Hidetoshi Nagoya, the CEO of Ash Concept.

An Insight into the Collaboration




The vision behind this collaboration was voiced by AC Hotel Tokyo Ginza's General Manager, Yuki Fujita. He believes in the significance of milestone anniversaries, particularly the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 10th years, and thus aimed to create a meaningful token that transcends mere celebration. For him, it was essential to leave a lasting impression that would grow in value with time.

Hence, he turned to Hidetoshi Nagoya for assistance, drawing on their prior connection. Soon, Nagoya proposed the concept of the 'Number Cup', a design that captures the hotel's narrative and growth by incrementing the number in each anniversary edition.

Seeing this design struck a chord with Fujita, instantly making him feel like this was the right direction. The idea was simple yet profound—every year, the number on the cup increases, forming a collective message that chronicles the hotel’s history.

Though he might not be part of the hotel when it reaches its tenth anniversary, he hopes that this anniversary mug remains a bridge connecting the past, present, and future. It is a reminder of the hotel’s journey and a symbol of its continued commitment to its guests.

The Story Behind Ash Concept




Founded in 2002 by Hidetoshi Nagoya, Ash Concept aims to energize society through design. The company specializes in manufacturing and selling lifestyle products, including its original brands such as +d and h tag. It has also opened a design gift shop, KONCENT, emphasizing its belief that good design can transform everyday experiences.

The ANNIVERSARY MUG itself is rooted in innovative design principles. Inspired by Takaya Hoshiko's work, the mug features unique graphics and a carefully crafted glaze, enhancing both its aesthetic and practical appeal. Its design allows for easy stacking, striking a balance between functionality and elegance. The creation of the mug represents a significant challenge, particularly regarding the intricately crafted handle that resembles a numeral. Care must be taken at every step of the manufacturing process, ensuring that the design maintains its integrity throughout.

Distribution of the ANNIVERSARY MUG 2026 6th 'E'




The much-anticipated anniversary mug will be available to guests who stay at the hotel on July 9, 2026. Moreover, the hotel plans to offer the mug as a gift for new members who join the Marriott Bonvoy™ loyalty program around the same date, ensuring that more guests can experience this unique celebration.

Additionally, the hotel aims to distribute the mug to its Ambassador-level members and will make it available for purchase at the front desk starting from the anniversary date.
