Drew Stauffacher: A New Era at 9Round Kickboxing Fitness
In a significant shift for the fitness franchise industry,
Drew Stauffacher has been named the new brand president of
9Round Kickboxing Fitness, the largest kickboxing organization worldwide. Stauffacher steps into his new role after thriving for over 13 years with the franchise, initially starting as a personal trainer and progressing to vice president of operations.
Founded in
2008 by professional kickboxer
Shannon Hudson and his wife Heather, 9Round has transformed the traditional kickboxing fitness model, making it accessible to a wider audience through its unique 30-minute, full-body circuit workouts. Stauffacher's extensive experience positions him well to further innovate and enhance member experiences while providing robust support to franchise operators across all locations.
Stauffacher's journey began with a solid foundation in fitness; he kick-started his career in large gyms, boutique studios, and clinical settings. His deep knowledge allowed him to join
9Round as a trainer in
2011, where he quickly grasped the essence of the business. In
2014, he took a monumental step by purchasing his first 9Round studio, followed by another in
2016. His dedication is evident as he transitioned into the home office in
2020, assuming crucial roles in product development while spearheading the creation of
9RoundNOW — the innovative digital training platform launched during the pandemic.
Stauffacher expresses excitement about his new position, stating, “This transition to the role of brand president is a fantastic opportunity to implement what I’ve learned both as a franchise owner and an operations expert. I aim to further enhance franchisee support and continually innovate to ensure 9Round remains at the forefront of fitness trends.” His tenure is marked by a commitment to blending fitness passion with strategic business acumen, making him ideally suited to lead the company into its next chapter.
The support from the brand's founder, Shannon Hudson, remains strong as he passes the torch to Stauffacher, who he believes will elevate the company to its
maximum potential. Hudson will now focus on managing other verticals within
Striking Brands, including the upcoming kickboxing franchise,
iLoveKickboxing, and a new equipment division.

9Round boasts more than
350 locations in the U.S. and
18 other countries, including Australia, Canada, and Qatar. The brand’s unique approach combines efficient workouts with a supportive community, catering to fitness enthusiasts from all walks of life.
