Dan Teich Elevated to Senior Vice President at LUX Infusion to Enhance Market Access Strategy

LUX Infusion, a prominent clinician-led infusion services company based in the U.S., has made headlines with the recent announcement of Dan Teich's promotion to Senior Vice President of Market Access. This strategic elevation is designed to enhance the company's market approach, integrating trade relations with managed care operations to foster a cohesive strategy. CEO Ted Kramm praised Teich for his exceptional leadership and vision in shaping trade relationships, underscoring the importance of this new unified approach to drive deeper partnerships with distribution, manufacturers, and payors.

In his new role, Teich will spearhead initiatives aimed at building an extensive market access strategy that connects various partners, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, specialty distributors, group purchasing organizations, and health plan payors. The goal is to expand patient access to high-quality infusion care, which is fundamental to LUX Infusion's mission.

Teich’s extensive background spans over 15 years in pharmacy operations, supply chain management, contract negotiation, and executive leadership across various sectors including specialty infusion and retail pharmacy. Previously, he held the position of Vice President of Health Systems Manufacturer Relations at Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen), where he played a pivotal role in negotiating specialty and biosimilar GPO contracts, consistently surpassing performance targets annually. His previous role at M Health Fairview saw him oversee nearly $1 billion in drug expenditure, resulting in significant margin improvements through strategic contracting.

Furthermore, during his time at M Health Fairview, Teich was responsible for scaling home infusion revenue by an impressive 240% over four years, showcasing his capability in driving growth and efficiency. He has also contributed his expertise at well-known companies such as PharMerica and Walgreens, accumulating a wealth of experience that he now brings to LUX Infusion.

In discussing his new role, Teich expressed enthusiasm about leading an integrated market access function. He noted how crucial it is for LUX Infusion to eliminate hurdles that patients face in receiving the necessary therapies. As he stated, ‘The convergence of trade relations and managed care is a natural evolution for LUX Infusion as we scale nationally.’ This sentiment reflects the company's broader commitment to building a fully integrated infusion services platform.

LUX Infusion’s new leadership structure under Teich's guidance aims not only to maintain operational efficiency but also to improve clinical outcomes and enhance patient access across its growing network, which is expected to exceed 50 infusion locations nationwide. This growth signifies LUX Infusion’s role as a major player in specialty infusion services, providing both home infusion and ambulatory infusion center services that prioritize patient's comfort and accessibility.

Through dedicated patient support and a commitment to ongoing data sharing with providers, LUX Infusion aims to ensure that patients feel supported while providers can rely on improved adherence and outcomes. With Teich at the helm of this initiative, LUX Infusion plans to redefine the infusion experience, making it not just a service but a comprehensive care journey that uplifts patient experiences. As the industry evolves, the company is poised to continue leading the way in accessible, high-quality infusion care that resonates with the needs of patients and healthcare partners alike.
