Promoting Safety Culture at the 45th National Crane Safety Conference

The 45th National Crane Safety Conference, organized by the Japan Crane Association and supported by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, is scheduled to take place on October 9-10, 2025, at the Gifu City Forum (Gifu Civic Hall). This event aims to unite companies and stakeholders involved in manufacturing, construction, and crane operation to share the latest insights and technologies concerning safe crane usage. The overarching goal is to prevent labor accidents and promote a robust safety culture across the industry.

Focus on Hybrid Cranes

On the second day of the conference, titled “Gathering of Crane Manufacturers and Users,” presentations will be made focusing on cutting-edge crane technologies. A keynote speech will be delivered by our design department head, who will introduce the world's first hybrid rough-terrain crane, the SR-250HV, featuring an innovative hybrid system. The crane is equipped with an external power hydraulic supply unit called EK-UNIT, which facilitates zero CO₂ emissions during operation.

This groundbreaking technology not only enhances crane performance but effectively improves operational efficiency and safety. Importantly, it addresses environmental concerns by reducing CO₂ emissions, enhancing fuel efficiency, and minimizing noise pollution on construction sites. As a result, there has been significant interest in these advancements from conference attendees, especially in terms of their potential to lessen environmental impact in the construction sector.
