Newborn Joy at Anita Touch
The Anita Touch indoor petting zoos, located in Tokyo Dome City and Aqua City Odaiba, have recently celebrated the births of adorable baby animals. Managed by the Izu Shaboten Zoo, these venues provide an opportunity for visitors to interact with joyful young creatures, making it an exciting experience for all ages.
Baby Capybaras at Tokyo Dome City
On May 12, 2025, Anita Touch Tokyo Dome City welcomed a remarkable arrival of
seven capybara babies! Mother
Yuami and father
Sanchu became proud parents to four males and three females. Those who visit the zoo can catch a glimpse of these little ones as they frolic in their habitat.
The capybara babies are thriving and can be seen in the 'Capybara and Ring-tailed Lemur Room.' However, it's important to be considerate during feeding times and their naps. Visitors are encouraged to observe quietly, allowing the young animals a peaceful environment to grow.
Cute Meerkat Births at Aqua City Odaiba
At the Aqua City Odaiba location, meerkats also added to the excitement with the birth of
four meerkat babies on May 20, 2025! The mother,
Polis, gave birth to two males and two females. Additionally, another meerkat mother named
Niko delivered two infants of unclear gender on June 19, 2025. All of these new additions are nurturing in their cozy room, often seen alongside their mothers.
These meerkat babies will soon begin practicing how to integrate into the larger group with the capybaras in the 'Ring-tailed Lemur and Capybara Room.' Visitors might get lucky and witness them standing and exploring their environment, showcasing their growing personalities.
What to Look Forward To
Both the capybara and meerkat pups are not only adjustments to their surroundings but also represent the continuation of their respective species. As they begin to interact more with each other and their surroundings, guests can anticipate a lively atmosphere at Anita Touch. Keep an eye on their development, as witnessing their milestones will be a delight for all visitors.
Anita Touch offers special moments for families, animal lovers, and those looking to connect with nature amid the urban setting of Tokyo. With the approach of summer, the opportunities for unique experiences grow, making it a must-visit destination.
