Enfinity Global Surpasses 500 MW of Operational Solar Capacity in Italy

Enfinity Global, a prominent American renewable energy company, has achieved a significant milestone by reaching 535 megawatts (MW) of operational solar capacity in Italy within a remarkable timeframe of just three years. This accomplishment underscores the company's capability to quickly deploy new energy infrastructure in response to the growing demand for electricity in the country.

The company operates a total of 18 photovoltaic solar power plants located across the Lazio and Emilia-Romagna regions. These facilities are projected to generate approximately 1 terawatt-hour (TWh) of renewable energy annually, which is equivalent to eliminating around 290,904 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. This substantial energy production is sufficient to power approximately 350,000 households in Italy.

Alessandro Ceschiat, the General Manager for Italy at Enfinity Global, emphasized the significance of this achievement, stating, "Reaching 535 MW in operation is a critical milestone because it demonstrates our ability to deploy energy infrastructure that serves the nation, creating value, jobs, and local economic benefits. Every megawatt that comes online contributes to enhancing Italy's energy security, supporting the competitiveness of its production systems, and advancing decarbonization goals."

Moreover, Maria Diez, the General Manager of Operations in Europe at Enfinity Global, credited the success to the dedication of their team in Italy and Europe, along with collaboration from industrial, financial, and institutional partners who share the company's vision. She remarked, "It is a team effort that continues to transform ambitious projects into operational assets serving the Italian energy system."

According to data from Elemens, Enfinity holds the position of the second-largest operator in Italy in terms of authorized solar capacity, having surpassed the threshold of 1 gigawatt (GW). Additionally, the company is enhancing its presence in energy storage with about 600 MW of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) authorized. These figures are part of a larger portfolio totaling 9.1 GW.

The growth of Enfinity's Italian portfolio is supported by strong expertise in capital structuring and project financing, allowing the company to attract over 1 billion euros in investments for its projects. This financial backing has enabled rapid progress and expansion in Italy's renewable energy landscape.
