Pasona JOB HUB Online Seminar: Connecting Urban Talent with Regional Needs
On July 14, 2026, Pasona JOB HUB, based in Minato, Tokyo, will host an online seminar focused on regional revitalization. This event, which includes a matching component, is part of a broader initiative commissioned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to promote the use of the Regional Revitalization Entrepreneur Program.
The seminar aims to deepen understanding of the program, which encourages talented professionals from urban companies to engage in activities that help enhance local communities. With Japan facing demographic challenges like population decline and an aging population, securing immediate workforce capabilities has become critically important in rural areas. Conversely, urban workers are increasingly interested in contributing to society, developing their skills through cross-border learning, pursuing side jobs, and establishing second careers, especially among seniors.
The
Regional Revitalization Entrepreneur Program allows urban employees to leverage their skills and knowledge in local municipalities for a specified period. This initiative not only helps address local workforce shortages but also enhances corporate value while making urban employees feel more connected to societal issues.
Event Overview
The upcoming seminar will offer insights into the program's framework and its practical applications. Attendees will hear directly from municipalities and businesses that have successfully implemented the program and can learn from the experiences of entrepreneurs actively participating in revitalization efforts.
The event is structured in two parts:
1.
Corporate Dispatch Type (13:30 - 15:20)
- Overview of the Regional Revitalization Entrepreneur Program
- Explanation of the event’s objectives
- Case studies presented by municipalities and corporations that have utilized the program
2.
Side Job & Senior Type (16:00 - 17:50)
- Overview of the Regional Revitalization Entrepreneur Program
- Explanation of the event’s objectives
- Case studies shared by municipalities and corporations
The latter segment of both events will provide opportunities for networking between municipalities and businesses or individual participants in a breakout format. This will facilitate direct connections and advance practical applications of the program.
Pasona JOB HUB is committed to bridging the gap between urban professionals and regional challenges, contributing to sustainable community development and enhancing the population balance.
