Strategic Partnership Forged for AI Data Center Development in Japan

Strategic Partnership in AI Data Center Development

On January 30, 2026, WOODMAN Corporation, led by CEO Shinjiro Ono and headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, made a significant announcement regarding its strategic collaboration with three other companies: Iore Inc., SuperX AI Industries PTE. Limited, and Digital Dynamic Co., Ltd. This partnership aims to explore the development of modular AI data centers, referred to as "Modular AI Factories," within Japan.

Background and Purpose

With the rapid proliferation of generative and inferential AI, there has been a marked increase in the demand for high-performance GPU computing resources globally. Though Japan recognizes this urgent need for a flexible AI infrastructure that can be deployed quickly, the lack of readily available solutions remains a substantial challenge. WOODMAN has previously built a solid reputation by providing various solutions, including the design and implementation of GPU servers and containerized data centers, and by offering technical consulting in large-scale AI data center projects.

This memorandum aims to leverage WOODMAN’s expertise and implementation experience, amalgamating the strengths of each partner to collaboratively explore the feasibility, business viability, technical requirements, and operational models for the establishment of a Modular AI Factory in Japan.

WOODMAN’s Role in the Collaboration

In this partnership, WOODMAN will play a pivotal role as a core technical and implementation partner for the Modular AI Factory project. Our responsibilities will include:

  • - Overall design of the AI data center and GPU infrastructure.
  • - Consideration of implementation methods and compositions for modular data centers.
  • - Integration design of the infrastructure, including GPU servers, power solutions, and cooling systems.
  • - Evaluation of technical requirements, scalability, and maintainability, all focused on practical operations.

Through this collaborative effort, WOODMAN is determined to contribute effectively to the realization of this project while maintaining a strong focus on the actual deployment and operational phases.

Future Outlook

Although the memorandum does not guarantee the immediate commercialization of the project, it lays the groundwork for future discussions to clarify the business viability and technical requirements associated with specific ventures. Once these parameters are established, we plan to proceed individually with contract signings and targeted initiatives as necessary.

WOODMAN aims to enhance the sophistication of decentralized AI infrastructure and promote the diffusion of sustainable AI data centers throughout Japan. Through this cooperative endeavor, the company is also focused on fortifying its business foundation within the AI and GPU infrastructure sectors.
