GomSpace Secures a Significant Follow-on Order for Microsatellites from Unseenlabs

GomSpace, a prominent manufacturer of small satellite systems, has recently finalized a follow-on agreement worth 5.5 million euros (approximately 60 million SEK) with Unseenlabs, a leader in maritime surveillance and radio-frequency intelligence services. This new order, set for delivery in the latter half of 2027, underscores the companies' ongoing collaboration focused on enhancing Maritime Domain Awareness.

The latest contract builds upon an already successful partnership between GomSpace and Unseenlabs, following their last announcement on March 31 and the initial microsatellite order signed on December 17, 2024. This marks the fifth order for microsatellites from GomSpace within a span of just two years, reflecting the strong execution of their prior program and the fruitful partnership established through reliability and transparency.

Carsten Drachmann, CEO of GomSpace, highlighted the significance of this order, stating, "We are honored by the continued trust placed in GomSpace by Unseenlabs. This follow-on order is a clear validation of the quality, technical maturity, and commitment demonstrated in the first mission. It also highlights our ability to support our customers not only with technology but with a partnership approach that enables their long-term business growth."

The partnership model employed by GomSpace promotes openness and consistent delivery, enabling Unseenlabs to strategically plan and expand its satellite constellation confidently, thereby accommodating a growing customer base in maritime surveillance and radio-frequency markets.

Jonathan Galic, the co-founder and President of Unseenlabs, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, stating, "GomSpace's openness and transparency allow us to plan and monitor our programs without unexpected challenges. Their consistent commitment to delivering on expectations makes them a reliable partner as we continue to expand our capabilities and strengthen our position in Maritime Domain Awareness."

The significance of this contract for GomSpace lies in its ability to bolster its presence within the maritime segment, aligning with the company’s strategy to cultivate long-term partnerships generating recurring business through outstanding performance and customer alignment.
