Significant Leadership Changes and Organizational Reform at Seibu Landscaping Company Planned for April 2026

Seibu Landscaping Company Announces Executive Changes and Organizational Reform

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and implement strategic reforms, Seibu Landscaping Company is poised to execute significant changes in leadership and organizational structure effective April 1, 2026. This development is an integral part of our medium-term management plan covering the fiscal years 2024 to 2026, focusing on three pivotal reforms: business structure transformation, internal control enhancement, and talent management strategy.

Organizational Reforms

The upcoming reforms are designed to strengthen internal controls and improve our operational efficiency. Here’s a breakdown of the planned changes:

1. Integration of Departments: The human resources department and the management department will be merged into a new unit named the General Affairs and Human Resources Department to enhance internal controls and operational efficacy.

2. Restructuring Safety Operations: Our safety department's functions will be redistributed among various business units to bolster expertise in safety-related tasks, with overall safety and health management being centralized under the General Affairs and Human Resources Department.

3. Enhancing Business Development: The Sales Division will be bifurcated into the Business Planning Department and the Green Environment Business Department to foster new business creation and reinforce sales capability.

4. New Sales Planning Division: To streamline operations from sales to construction, a new Sales Planning Division will be established within the Green Environment Business Department.

These changes are anticipated to better align our workforce with strategic business goals and to enhance our service delivery in the competitive landscaping industry.

Upcoming Executive Changes

In conjunction with the structural reforms, the company has planned new appointments for its executive team as of April 1, 2026:

  • - Toshiji Terasaki will be promoted to Senior Managing Director, currently serving as a Board Member.
  • - Shinji Kajiwara, formerly the Compliance and Audit Department Manager at Seibu Real Estate, will be appointed as a new Senior Managing Director.
  • - Kazuaki Akiyama, who served as the head of our Green Environment Business Department, will transition to a Board Member role.
  • - Akio Kawano, previously the Eastern Japan Branch Manager of the Green Environment Business Department, will also join the Board as a new member.

Furthermore, several board members will resign as of March 31, 2026:
  • - Shigeru Kuriyama, Taku Hojo, Izumi Ikeda, and Masahiro Akaduchi will step down. Mr. Hojo will assume the position of Senior Managing Director at Seibu Green Management Company starting April 1, while Mr. Akaduchi will become the President of the same company.

Subsidiary Changes

The executive realignment extends to Seibu Green Management Company, Yokohama Green Company, and Seibu Agri Company as well:
  • - At Seibu Green Management Company, Akaduchi will take over as Representative Director, and Hojo will serve as Senior Managing Director.
  • - Yokohama Green Company will welcome Gaku Anabuki onto its board as a new member.
