In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the agricultural technology sector, Pivot Bio has announced the appointment of Greg Peton as the new regional sales leader for the coastal area. This region encompasses a vast territory from Texas through the Carolinas and reaches into the Northeast, including key states like New York and Pennsylvania.

Pivot Bio, a pioneer in agricultural innovation, is renowned for its patented crop nutrition technologies. These technologies aim to help farmers improve yields and manage crop nutrition more effectively. Among the company's flagship products are PROVEN® G3, a third-generation nitrogen solution for corn, and CERT-N®, a newly introduced solution for cotton. These innovative products have gained traction, being utilized on over 15 million acres, reflecting the robust demand and affirmation of their field performance among farmers.

Chris Turner, chief commercial officer at Pivot Bio, expressed confidence in Peton’s abilities, stating, "Greg knows what it takes to help farmers succeed, and he understands the realities of crop nutrition from the ground up. He's a strong leader with deep roots in agriculture, and we’re lucky to have him leading the charge in a critical part of the country."

Extensive Experience in Agriculture

Peton's history in agricultural sales and leadership spans many years, covering various sectors including seed, crop protection, and agronomy services. He joined Pivot Bio in 2020 and has held multiple roles, including that of a national account manager. In this time, he successfully forged strong relationships with some of the most significant growers across the United States.

Daryl Allen, Pivot Bio's vice president of sales, commented on Peton’s potential to make a significant impact, emphasizing his operational expertise. "Greg brings a steady hand and real operational strength to the field. He understands how to navigate complex operations, align teams, and deliver value for both farmers and our retail partners."

Before his tenure at Pivot Bio, Peton held senior positions at DuPont Pioneer, Rizobacter, and United Farmers Cooperative, where he was the chief sales and marketing officer. His agricultural background is notable, as he was raised on a diversified farm in northwest Iowa, giving him first-hand experience with farming challenges.
