Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed in Connection with Lil Durk's Alleged Murder-For-Hire Case

Wrongful Death Lawsuit Associated with Lil Durk's Alleged Murder Scheme

On February 24, 2025, Postman Law in collaboration with Roden Law took significant legal action by filing a wrongful death lawsuit in Cook County for the family of Saviay'a Robinson. This lawsuit is directed at those allegedly responsible for Robinson's untimely demise, which has been tied to a murder-for-hire plot involving rapper Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks.

Saviay'a Robinson, remembered as a loving father to three children and a diligent entrepreneur, was tragically killed in a violent shooting incident that occurred in Los Angeles. Authorities have indicated that his death is linked to criminal activities associated with Durk Banks and his alleged organization, Only the Family (OTF).

The complaint in the lawsuit reveals that on August 19, 2022, Robinson was ambushed while driving his vehicle near West Hollywood, accompanied by his cousin, rapper Quando Rondo. Assailants reportedly executed a targeted attack, firing multiple rounds into the passenger side of Robinson's vehicle. The severity of Robinson's injuries led to his death shortly after he was admitted to a local hospital.

The federal indictment surrounding this case alleges that Lil Durk orchestrated the murder-for-hire as the leader of OTF. It details how Banks and his conspirators exploited interstate communication channels to execute their plot, marking a continuous narrative of violence and retribution under Banks' direction.

Warren Postman, Managing Partner at Postman Law and representative for the Robinson family, emphasized the heart-wrenching impact of Robinson's loss on his family and community. He stated, "The premature loss of Mr. Robinson has devastated his family and community. We filed this lawsuit to hold those responsible accountable and to ensure his family receives the support they need during this difficult time."

The lawsuit, recorded under case number 3138246, accuses the defendants of unlawful activities, including murder for hire, directly leading to Robinson's wrongful death. The family is seeking damages for the profound loss they have endured. Alongside Warren Postman, Marquel Longtin and Chris Livas from Postman Law, and Joshua Dorminy from Roden Law are representing the family in this case.
