Harvia Expands Its Sauna Heater Portfolio in Japan

Harvia Japan, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, and led by CEO Seiji Kasama, is set to launch two new sauna heater models - the Wall Series and the Legend Series - into the Japanese market. With the introduction of the Wall 4.5, Harvia's current portfolio will cover sauna rooms ranging from 1.5 to 55 cubic meters, which is the widest range of any single group in Japan. This enhanced offering is aimed at helping customers create their ideal sauna experience.

The Ultimate Portfolio for All Sizes

Sauna heaters are designed to accommodate specific volumes, making it crucial to select the right heater for the corresponding sauna room. With the launch of the Wall 4.5 model, both Harvia and its group brand EOS now provide heaters suitable for sauna rooms of 1.5 to 55 cubic meters. This development highlights Harvia's stronghold in the Japanese market, boasting the largest heater coverage range available.

As of July 2025, Harvia Japan plans to offer 23 models of sauna heaters - 20 electric models and 3 wood-burning models. Additionally, there will be 12 models of indoor sauna rooms and 6 models of outdoor saunas available. Harvia Japan also collaborates with the global leader in thermal wood, Thermory from Estonia, which supplies sauna-specific timber, and the Finnish company Karliitti, known for its high-heat lighting solutions compatible with saunas and spas.

In future releases, Harvia plans to introduce its proprietary sauna doors and chilling water baths, enabling a full-service solution for various sauna needs.

Understanding PSE Compliance

The PSE mark is a certification that indicates electrical products meet specific safety standards as mandated by Japan's Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law. Products classified as particularly hazardous, including sauna heaters of 10 kW or less and their corresponding sauna rooms, must pass rigorous testing by designated inspection institutions before they can be sold. Harvia only offers PSE-compliant products, ensuring safety and quality for users.

It is essential to purchase only genuine Harvia products from authorized dealers to guarantee compliance with these safety standards. Products imported under Harvia Japan, established in August 2023, are the only ones displaying the PSE mark. Parallel imports might not meet these specifications.
