Exciting New Partnership: Muji Products in Natural Lawson
In a noteworthy collaboration, Ryohin Keikaku Co., the company behind the popular brand Muji, has announced a partnership with Lawson Inc. This initiative will see Muji products gradually introduced to around 90 Natural Lawson stores across the Kanto region, including Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa, starting in late April 2026.
The essence of this collaboration lies in Ryohin Keikaku's vision of promoting 'a pleasant lifestyle and society.' They stand by the value of simplicity and strive to enhance daily living by providing thoughtfully designed products and services. By expanding Muji's presence in Lawson stores, the company aims to make its offerings more accessible to everyday consumers.
Designed for Customer Experience
The designated areas for Muji products in Natural Lawson stores will feature a layout organized into three shelves of daily items: one shelf for clothing and miscellaneous goods and two for care and fragrance items. This setup is designed to foster an environment where customers can 'choose' and 'try' products. Through this innovative retail experience, customers can gain a sense of satisfaction and confidence in their selections.
Focus on Beauty and Health
Aligned with Natural Lawson's theme of 'beauty and health,' the product offering will include a selection of functional innerwear, sunglasses, arm covers, and seasonal goods that cater to varying needs throughout the year. The care products will feature skin care and fragrance items. The skin care section will include Muji's sensitive skin series, anti-aging series, and clear care series, allowing customers to select products based on their specific skin concerns and goals.
This will mark the first time fragrance items, including interior perfumes, room fragrance sprays, candles, and incense, will be available at Lawson stores. The stores will also set up scent samples, giving customers the opportunity to experience the fragrances firsthand, helping them choose scents that match their preferences and intended use.
A Commitment to Health and Sustainability
Natural Lawson, which opened its first store on July 11, 2001, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. With a focus on health and wellbeing, the stores offer nutritious bento boxes, rice balls, and desserts made from carefully sourced ingredients, along with in-store bakeries that produce fresh bread and trendy snacks. They are also committed to environmentally friendly products and practices, currently operating around 140 stores across Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa.
Looking forward, Ryohin Keikaku intends to continue working closely with Lawson to deliver products and services that resonate with consumers, ultimately aiming to realize a more fulfilling lifestyle and society for all.
Through this innovative retail initiative, Ryohin Keikaku is not just expanding its market reach but is also enhancing the shopping experience by providing quality products in convenient locations. This step reflects a broader trend in retail, where collaborative ventures lead to enhanced consumer satisfaction and accessibility to quality lifestyle products.
