Itochu Urban Development Expands Senior Housing Operations in Chubu and Kinki Regions

Itochu Urban Development Co., Ltd., headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, led by President Masanao Matsui, has officially completed its second and third senior housing projects: "Rehabilitation Home Granda Toyota City Hall" in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, and "Medical Home Granda Harima Himeji" in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture. This marks a significant milestone as the company makes its debut in the senior housing sector in the Chubu and Kinki regions.




Both facilities are operated by Benesse Style Care Co., Ltd., also based in Tokyo, and are designed as residential type paid nursing homes. Through these developments, Itochu Urban has utilized a scheme where it constructs and sells the buildings upon completion. Following the first project, "Medical Rehabilitation Home Granda Suzenji" (in Kumamoto City, completed in 2024), this marks the company’s first foray into developing senior housing in the Chubu and Kinki regions.
