Pan Global Unveils Ambitious Drilling Program for 2026 in Spain's Escacena and Cármenes Projects

Pan Global Resources Outlines 2026 Drilling Plans in Spain

Pan Global Resources Inc., a mining exploration company, has made headlines with its recent announcement regarding drilling initiatives for the year 2026. The focus will be on two of its fully-owned projects in Spain, namely Escacena and Cármenes, where the company plans a combined drilling effort of 10,000 meters. These exploratory drilling programs aim to explore high-priority targets that have yet to be tested, expanding the potential resource base significantly.

Overview of the Exploration Programs

Escacena Project

The Escacena project is particularly noteworthy, with over 15 large untested drill targets identified. The drilling planned for 2026 is set to enhance the copper resource base through new discoveries in this resource-rich area. Specific initiatives include targeting new priority drilling locations in Escacena North, preparing drill sites, conducting geochemical analyses, and geological mapping, which have already commenced. Priority objectives in this region entail locations such as El Pozo and Cortijo, among others.

In addition, an airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey will cover Escacena South to better prioritize drilling targets, including Trinidad and Carmen. Concurrently, resource expansion efforts will target existing discoveries at La Romana and Cañada Honda, where the company aims to promote a resource estimate exceeding 100 million tons.

Cármenes Project

On the other hand, the Cármenes project, which has a rich mining history, is poised for exploration focusing on high-grade copper-nickel-cobalt minerals found in former mines, last operational in the 1930s. The project boasts over 25 designated exploration targets, showcasing significant mineral potential. In 2025, Pan Global made a significant gold discovery at the Providencia target within the Cármenes project, an indicator of its prospectivity beyond traditional base metals.

For the 2026 program, an access road is set to be constructed to facilitate upcoming drilling in the spring, with Phase 3 drilling at the Providencia target area to understand the configuration and potential of the gold-copper-nickel-cobalt mineralization. Priority sampling and mapping will also be performed on additional targets in this project.

Achievements from Previous Years

Building off the operational success of 2025, Pan Global completed 8,800 meters of drilling across both projects. Significant achievements included extensions of near-surface copper-tin mineralization at La Romana and the confirmation of high-grade copper-tin mineralization trend in initial drill holes at La Pantoja target. Other high-priority targets were also assessed, leading to the first mineral resource estimates at Escacena, which surpassed expectations and outlined district-scale potential.

In Cármenes, the initial drilling campaigns unlocked a new gold discovery and substantiated more than 25 follow-up targets identified through geophysical surveys, enhancing the overall exploration framework. A competitive bidding process also led to the granting of further rights for exploration in Escacena South, thereby enriching the project's discovery potential.

Financial Robustness and Strategic Vision

As Pan Global moves into 2026, the company voices confidence backed by a strong financial posture and the support of a strategic investor. With the prospects of new discoveries in one of Europe’s most established mining regions, the company aims not just for mineral extraction but also for responsible mining practices that respect the environment and partner communities. Pan Global's initiatives also align with broader EU policies promoting copper as a strategic resource essential for achieving sustainability goals.

In conclusion, Pan Global's comprehensive drilling program for 2026 is positioned to unlock significant mineral resources across its projects in Spain, building on a foundation of assertive exploration and successful operational practices. As the company forges ahead, regular updates on exploration activities are promised, reaffirming Pan Global's commitment to transparency and stakeholder engagement.
