Amap Unveils Innovative Open Platform for No-Code AI Agents in Location Services

Amap's Groundbreaking Launch of Qianyu

In a substantial leap towards integrating artificial intelligence with location services, Amap Platform has officially launched its latest innovation, Qianyu, at the Apsara Conference held in Hangzhou, China, on September 24, 2026. This open platform is a game-changer for developers and enterprises, allowing them to deploy intelligent spatial agents without requiring any coding expertise.

Cui Yong, General Manager of Amap Platform, emphasized that this new tool is designed to transform how users interact with spatial intelligence. By transforming spatial data into readily accessible agents, Qianyu empowers developers and businesses to utilize AI capabilities for understanding complex spatial scenarios and enhancing decision-making processes.

Traditionally, large language models have excelled in managing digital information. However, many critical real-world decisions — such as optimizing store locations, determining fleet routes, or ensuring the safety of riders — necessitate a thorough understanding of the physical environment, including road networks, buildings, and temporal changes in city layouts.

Structure and Features of the Qianyu Platform

The Qianyu platform operates on a coherent 'Point-Line-Plane-Dynamic' framework. This structure consolidates diverse data types, including points of interest (POIs), road layouts, building structures, and dynamic time-series information, which enables a sophisticated machine-readable spatial system.
As of August 2026, the platform boasts an impressive repository of over 80 million POIs, 5 million kilometers of road data, and intricate three-dimensional models covering 7,500 square kilometers. It has significantly broadened its database to include pertinent details such as addresses, travel durations, building outlines, and heatmaps categorized by area.

Developers can instruct the Qianyu agent using natural language, allowing the agent to interpret the spatial-temporal context, collect data from multiple sources, and deliver actionable recommendations. Tasks that previously would consume days—like selecting a store location or analyzing neighborhood demographics—are now streamlined into efficient agent-executable workflows, thus enhancing operational efficiency for businesses.

Expanding capabilities beyond conventional navigation, Amap has adapted features such as lane guidance and timer functionalities for traffic signals to suit two-wheel mobility applications catering to scooters and motorcycles. Their innovation, the 'Eagle Eye Guardian' alert system, provides proactive warnings for two-wheeled vehicles, identifying high-risk scenarios such as potential rear-end collisions, 'dooring' incidents, and lane encroachments.

Enhancing Mobility with Spatial Intelligence

The Qianyu platform's offerings extend to collaborations with renowned mobility brands like Niu Technologies and Ninebot. Furthermore, it seeks to incorporate standardized spatial intelligence within AIoT devices, teaming up with popular companies such as Xiaomi and Qwen Glasses to enable users to engage with surroundings more intuitively. Users will now be able to speak to their devices to find nearby locations or issue ride requests via smart glasses or smartwatches.

For global developers and partners, Amap continues providing advanced spatial intelligence capabilities grounded in its World Map service. This extensive solution covers navigation functionalities across driving, biking, walking, and riding, with the integration of address records, route planning, and operational support tailored for enterprise apps.

Currently, the Amap World Map encompasses over 300 million POIs and 900 million continuously updated address records, accommodating multiple languages including Chinese, English, and various local dialects.

As Amap broadens its geographic footprint beyond China, the robust navigation functionalities included within the platform have already been tested and proven effective in landscape contexts within the Chinese market. Features such as junction visuals, comprehensive lane-level guidance, auditory cues, and precise turn-by-turn navigation are seamlessly integrated into enterprise-level applications, marking a significant step towards elevating location service experiences globally.

Through the introduction of Qianyu, Amap solidifies its role as a leader in spatial intelligence and location-based solutions, setting new standards for efficiency and innovation in both business and mobility sectors.
