Envision Consulting and CNM Team Up for 2026 Nonprofit Workplace Report

Envision Consulting Partners with CNM for Nonprofit Workforce Report

Envision Consulting, LLC and the Center for Nonprofit Management (CNM) are excited to announce a new partnership that aims to shed light on critical issues affecting the nonprofit sector through their latest endeavor: the 2026 State of the Nonprofit Workplace Report (SNWR26). This report represents an updated and comprehensive analysis of compensation practices, benefits, and workforce conditions for nonprofit employees across the region.

Since the initial release of the State of the Nonprofit Worker Report in 2022, CNM has made significant strides in understanding the evolving workplace conditions in nonprofit organizations. This new collaboration serves to build upon that foundation by enhancing the research’s depth and scope, merging CNM’s sector-specific insights with Envision Consulting's expertise in executive search and organizational strategy.

Allison Fuller, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Envision Consulting, stated, "We are thrilled to partner with CNM to bring new clarity and transparency to the nonprofit workforce. This report will provide leaders, employees, and policymakers with critical data to make informed decisions about compensation, staffing, and organizational sustainability."

The report’s comprehensive approach will involve gathering and analyzing data from both nonprofit employees and organizations, painting a detailed picture of current pay benchmarks, employment trends, and the shifting needs of the nonprofit workforce. Additionally, it will highlight broader sector issues, such as funding stability, ongoing staffing difficulties, and the increasing integration of AI tools in nonprofit operations.

Efrain Escobedo, President and CEO of CNM, shared his insights on the initiative: "This partnership represents a major step toward understanding how our region's nonprofit organizations—and the people who power them—are faring in today's continuously changing landscape. Together, we will develop a resource that reflects the voices, challenges, and aspirations of nonprofit workers at every level."

SNWR26 is specifically designed as a resource for nonprofit executives, HR leaders, funders, policymakers, and individual nonprofit employees. It will serve as an essential tool for understanding compensation equity and workforce trends while illustrating how organizations and employees are adapting to various recent disruptions, including the 2025 Los Angeles fires, alterations to federal funding, and significant shifts in immigration policy that impact the social impact sector.
