Discover Winter Camping at Watami Organic Land
This winter, enjoy an incredible camping experience at
Watami Organic Land located in the scenic city of
Rikuzentakata. An extension of Watami Corporation, this organic theme park invites adventurers to participate in their
Winter Camping plan, running until the end of February 2026. After last year's tremendous success, the park is opening its doors once again to provide an unparalleled camping opportunity in a climate-controlled environment.
New Camping Experience
The winter camping experience allows guests to set up tents inside a cozy wooden house that accommodates up to 80 people. This arrangement means that adverse weather, whether rain or snow, won't dampen your spirits. Everything needed for a comfortable stay is provided, so guests can enjoy camping without the hassle of logistics.
Equipped with amenities like portable stoves, heaters, and warm carpets, the wooden house ensures that everyone stays warm and comfortable throughout their visit. Additionally, guests can indulge in local culinary delights with BBQ options featuring locally sourced meats, as well as a hands-on experience to create personalized burgers using fresh ingredients from the park.
This year, a new feature has been added to the winter camping experience: the dazzling
'Umi to Mori to Taiyou no Illumination' which lights up the park at night with solar-powered lights. This beautiful illumination highlights the harmonious interplay of nature and technology, creating a magical atmosphere for campers.
Connection with Nature
Watami Organic Land aims to immerse visitors in the beauty and resilience of the
Rikuzentakata natural landscape while fostering a sense of respect and appreciation for life. This initiative is part of a broader mission to promote local economic revitalization and support reconstruction efforts in disaster-hit areas.
As diverse food options entice the palate, the park serves as a reminder of the delicate balance within ecosystems, emphasizing themes of life cycles and sustainability, fundamental concepts cherished by the Watami brand.
