Seminar on New Business Creation
On September 18, a seminar titled
“How to Launch New Businesses in Diverse Fields: Insights from Fujifilm Cosmetics” was held at the co-creation R&D hub
SHIOMER, organized by
Visasq Inc. This event attracted around 150 employees from the Panasonic Group, and was jointly hosted at SHIOMER, designated as Panasonic's innovation center.
The seminar featured key speaker
Yoshitada Nakamura, the former leader of Fuji Film’s cosmetics launch team and the current president of the
Innovation Architect association. Nakamura shared invaluable insights on the importance of co-creating expertise both within and outside the organization, drawing from his extensive experience in successfully launching new ventures. Participants were highly engaged, contributing numerous questions and discussions about applying these insights in their own initiatives.
SHIOMER aims to address complex customer and societal issues through collaborative solutions, set to officially commence operations in October 2024. With societal challenges becoming increasingly multifaceted, Nakamura stressed that new businesses must not only focus on profit but also aspire to create a shared ideal future vision that resonates with various stakeholders and organizations.
The seminar underscored the vital role of knowledge exchange for innovation. By leveraging the global expertise connected through Visasq, it marked a significant first step in accelerating solutions co-creation.
