SINEXCEL Enhances Energy Flexibility in Romania with New Storage Project
SINEXCEL has announced a significant step forward in energy management with its new energy storage project located in Romania, designed to have a capacity of 7.5 MW and 15.04 MWh. This substantial investment, situated at coordinates 45°02'58.6"N, 24°15'09.4"E, is set to advance the capabilities of energy trading while providing greater flexibility in energy management for the market.
Investment Details and Specifications
This newly implemented energy storage system is primarily geared towards price arbitrage, aimed at optimizing energy trading strategies while enhancing grid responsiveness and operational efficiency. Central to this investment are SINEXCEL's power conversion systems (PCS) rated at 1250 kW, which are designed to maximize energy value through full adaptability. The system ensures high efficiency and facilitates seamless integration, allowing for optimized system operation and better long-term economic viability.
To address the diverse requirements of this project and anticipated future expansions, the PCS system supports multiple medium-voltage substation configurations:
- - 20 ft substation: 2.5 MW / 3.15 MW
- - 40 ft substation: 5 MW / 6.25 MW
- - 40 ft substation: up to 9.45 MW / 10 MW
This scalability allows investors to efficiently increase capacity while minimizing installation complexity and reducing costs over the entire lifecycle of the system.
Proven Global Partner
The investment, developed by Energy Solar NRG SRL, successfully secured full factoring financing from DHB Bank in February 2025. The complete commissioning of the system is expected by September 30, 2026, which further affirms the reliability of SINEXCEL's PCS technology in large-scale applications. With over 5000 deployments worldwide and more than 15 GW / 40 GWh of installed capacity, SINEXCEL continues to be a trusted partner for developers seeking efficient and reliable energy storage hardware solutions.
This venture reaffirms the company’s commitment to promoting a more resilient, sustainable, and economically optimized energy future. SINEXCEL's approach aligns with current global objectives of improving energy efficiency and resilience amidst changing market dynamics.
