SANY Group Launches Its First Global Engineering Machinery Remanufacturing Base in Hainan
SANY Group Opens New Remanufacturing Base in Hainan
On December 23, 2025, SANY Group inaugurated its first global engineering machinery remanufacturing base at the Hunan-Hainan Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in Dongfang City, Hainan Province. This milestone reflects SANY's commitment to enhancing its globalization and sustainability efforts.
The remanufacturing base is a pioneering facility, being the first of its kind established in China's co-constructed industrial park, a unique combination of a pilot free trade zone (FTZ) and a free trade port. It not only aims to bolster the linkage development of Hunan and Hainan but also leverages the industrial and policy benefits of both provinces. This initiative is expected to help Chinese companies widen their global footprint. The construction of the park, which began in August 2023, spans an area of approximately 10 hectares and involved a total investment of CNY600 million (USD85.62 million).
Once operational, the base is projected to achieve an annual output value of around CNY750 million (USD107.02 million). It seeks to position itself as a regional remanufacturing center and resource distribution hub catering to both domestic and international markets. The park’s primary operations will focus on the maintenance and remanufacturing of critical engineering machinery components and second-hand equipment, promoting a circular economy in industrial resources.
The strategic framework of the Hainan FTZ offers substantial advantages, as value-added processing activities here are eligible for tariff concessions. The remanufacturing operations conducted under bonded supervision can also benefit from corporate and personal income tax incentives. Specifically, the park is benefitting from the
