GALLS® Triumphs with Two Prestigious Awards at NAUMD 2025 Convention

In a significant recognition of excellence within the public safety sector, GALLS®, a leading supplier of uniforms and tactical gear for America's first responders and military professionals, has been honored with two Best Dressed Public Safety Department® awards at the NAUMD 2025 Convention held from April 27 to 29 in New Orleans, Louisiana. This biennial event is dedicated to enhancing relationships among companies involved in uniform apparel and workwear, promoting innovation and greater supply chain collaboration.

GALLS® received accolades for its exceptional contributions to the uniform programs of two distinguished departments, demonstrating its commitment to delivering tailored solutions that meet the unique requirements of diverse public safety agencies. Awards were judged by an independent panel, focusing on factors like appearance, functionality, innovation, and adherence to established uniform standards.

Award-Winning Departments

The winners of the Best Dressed Public Safety Department® awards were:
1. Henrico County Police Division (for the Police/Sheriff Department category)
2. Lexington-Fayette Division of Community Corrections (for the Correctional Category)

Honoring Henrico County Police Division

The Henrico County Police Division made a bold statement by evolving its uniform after 85 years. With the assistance of GALLS® and partners like Flying Cross, the department introduced a fresh uniform design tailored for both functionality and formality. A hallmark of this new look is the innovative two-toned Hybrid Under-Vest Shirt, featuring a distinct French Blue upper combined with a Navy Blue lower section, prioritizing officer comfort and identity.

The collaboration not only focused on aesthetics but also aimed to streamline logistics. By supplying uniforms directly to the officers, GALLS® significantly alleviated logistical burdens on the department.

Recognizing Lexington-Fayette Division of Community Corrections

Similarly, the Lexington-Fayette Division of Community Corrections set out to redesign its uniform program to reflect pride and professionalism amongst its 323 officers. Over 27 months, GALLS® partnered with this division to redefine uniform standards that contribute positively to officer morale and community perception.

The newly crafted uniforms included a reverse color scheme Color Guard uniform with gray Stratton Trooper hats, alongside redesigned Class A and Class B uniforms adorned with custom insignia and service ribbons. These updates not only enhanced officer appearance but also reinforced their authority and respect within the community.
