Vantage Foundation Brings Cheer to Sick Children

The Vantage Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to support children and families in difficult situations by partnering with Starlight Children's Foundation Sydney. On December 18, 2025, the foundation organized a corporate volunteer event that aimed to spread holiday cheer, especially to those in need of emotional uplift during the festive season. Over the holiday period, ten enthusiastic volunteers banded together to create and wrap special gift baskets known as "sparkling packages" for 27 sick children supported by the Starlight program.

Spreading Joy Through Creativity

Each sparkling package was adorned with a collection of delightful items, including LEGO sets, educational toys, books, card games, and coloring books. The volunteers added a personal touch by including handwritten notes that conveyed encouraging messages, fostering a relationship of warmth and comfort for each child. This thoughtful gesture exemplifies the power of giving during the holidays — a time often filled with both joy and challenges.

In addition to the hands-on volunteering, the initiative yielded a direct financial contribution to the Starlight Children's Foundation. Since Teamwork with Meaning donates 50% of its net profits from events to its charity partners, this collaboration resulted in a minimum donation of AUD 500 (plus goods and services tax). This funding allows the Starlight Foundation to provide artistic kits designed for 25 hospitalized children, extending the impact of this initiative beyond the holiday season.

Addressing the Emotional Burden

The collaboration unfolds at a crucial time when the holiday period can heighten anxiety for children and families grappling with severe illnesses. While festive celebrations often evoke positive feelings, they may simultaneously intensify feelings of insecurity and emotional strain. Through this initiative, the Vantage Foundation seeks to alleviate some of that burden by providing uplifting moments of joy and solace where they are most needed.

Steven Xie, Executive Director of the Vantage Foundation, stated, "Christmas can be particularly tough for sick children and their families.
