From October 3 to November 3, 2025, the Konica Minolta Planetarium Tenku in Tokyo Skytree Town will host a one-month exclusive screening of "The Poetry Planetarium" featuring the works of renowned poet Tahi Saihate. This event represents a unique combination of visual and auditory arts, as the moving stars of the night sky will dance in harmony with the poet's words, creating an immersive experience for adults.

The breathtaking visuals will showcase a night sky filled with constellations, with each poem complementing the cosmic display. Tahi Saihate, who is known for weaving themes of space and constellations into his poetry, has created eight new pieces specifically for this event, skillfully drawing from the four seasons and a vision of the universe 4.6 billion years into the future. The ancient narratives of the Greek civilization, intertwined with undiscovered future cosmic possibilities, will unfold through the beauty of Saihate's words, filling the dome of the planetarium with enchanting poetry.

As the poems resonate against the backdrop of twinkling stars, the audience will find themselves immersed in a mesmerizing tapestry created through Saihate's unique poetic voice. Every transition between verses is enhanced by explanations woven throughout, providing context through the lens of mythology and poetry.

His acclaimed collections include "The Sky Splits Apart" and "We Who May Die." Saihate continues to expand the boundaries of poetry beyond traditional mediums, engaging with forms like film and installation art.

Shun Sasaki, the graphic designer behind this project, is a celebrated professional known for his work on various book covers and exhibition designs, including the logo design for Japan’s iconic ‘NHK Red and White Song Battle’. His visual style enriches the poetry by capturing its essence.

Takashi Ohashi, a motion designer, brings another layer of artistic expression to the project with his expertise in animation, significantly contributing to the visual storytelling of the planetarium experience.

Izumi Aoyagi, a talented actress and narrator, will lend her voice to the朗読, capturing the audience's attention with her expressive readings of the poems.
