Midea Group Unveils Sustainable Heating Innovations for Europe at ISH 2025
Advancements in Sustainable Heating by Midea Group
The Midea Group is making waves at the ISH 2025 trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany, with its announcement of cutting-edge sustainable heating solutions. This move aligns with their commitment to a greener vision for a blue future, focusing on improving energy efficiency in heating and cooling systems across Europe. According to the European Environment Agency, buildings in the EU account for a substantial 34% of energy-related greenhouse gas emissions as of 2022. Fortunately, these emissions have fallen by 34% from 2005 to 2022, primarily due to advancements in heating and cooling technologies.
At the forefront of Midea’s offering is the innovative use of refrigerant R290 in their heating solutions, contributing significantly to energy efficiency. Midea has already sold over 6.2 million units globally, leading to a remarkable reduction of CO2 emissions by approximately 3.715 million tons. The company features an array of products utilizing R290, including the Nature ATW heat pump, H-Pack heat pump, Vita series water heaters, and iEasyEnergy solutions.
Nature ATW Heat Pump
One of the standout products is the R290 Nature ATW heat pump, which has been specially developed for the European market. It boasts the highest classification under the EU ERP A+++ standard. R290 is a natural refrigerant with a global warming potential (GWP) of merely 3 and zero ozone depletion potential (ODP). The heat pump delivers water at temperatures of 80°C, meeting all household requirements. Additionally, it operates with an ultra-quiet compressor that emits only 30 dB(A), making it quieter than a refrigerator.
H-Pack Heat Pump
Midea's H-Pack heat pump, recognized with the German Design Award, is another exciting innovation from the company, designed to be installed entirely indoors without the need for an outdoor unit. Its user-friendly construction allows for quick access to components, streamlining maintenance efforts. The H-Pack supports smart grid technology and offers a hybrid mode that seamlessly integrates with existing gas boilers, optimizing energy consumption across households.
Vita Series Water Heaters
The Vita series water heaters mark Midea's commitment to transitioning from purely electric storage solutions to harnessing natural energy sources. This product line includes the easily installable hybrid water heater Vita R290, along with solar and gas variants that feature low NOx emissions, ensuring efficient and stable combustion. These characteristics make them an excellent choice for retrofitting older buildings, high-rises, and elevated locations.
iEasyEnergy Solutions
Midea's iEasyEnergy offers intelligent and flexible energy management for air-to-water heat pumps, energy storage systems, and photovoltaic modules. This holistic system covers everything from planning to installation, facilitating households in achieving up to 90% energy self-sufficiency.
In addition to their R290-based heating solutions, Midea introduced the advanced Solstice smart air conditioner incorporating artificial intelligence. This unit features a unique 180° rotating deflector that ensures an even distribution of heat, promising comfort from head to toe. Moreover, the new AI algorithm, ECOMASTER AI, optimizes energy savings, allowing users to cut energy consumption by over 30%.
Midea is committed to delivering practical, comfortable, and sustainable solutions to European homes and businesses while supporting the HVAC industry’s shift towards smarter and greener development.
The ISH fair stands as the leading international showcase for HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and water solutions. This year's theme, 'Solutions for a Sustainable Future,' emphasizes the urgency of water and energy savings. Midea will be presenting its contributions towards a more sustainable future in Hall 12.0, Stand E91.
