VACAN to Present Innovative Solutions at Municipal and Public Week 2025
VACAN, a prominent player in utilizing AI technology for crowd visualization, is set to showcase its groundbreaking services at the Municipal and Public Week 2025, taking place from July 2 to July 4 at Tokyo Big Sight. This event highlights VACAN's commitment to enhancing public safety and convenience through the deployment of its phase-free services in approximately 300 municipalities across Japan.
Exhibition Overview
VACAN's innovative approach focuses on connecting people and spaces with technology to create a safer, more convenient environment for community residents and visitors alike. The services on display will include advanced systems that can be utilized during emergencies as well as in regular times, underlining their practicality and versatility.
Among the highlights will be the
Evacuation Center Management System and
Public Facility Reservation System (tamitami). Visitors will have the opportunity to experience an evacuation center check-in and the streamlined functionality provided by smart lock integrations and group reservations, tailored for both users and administrators.
Evacuation Center Management System
This system drastically reduces the burden of disaster response and evacuation center management for municipal staff and community leaders. Key features include:
- - Digital Check-in for Residents: Utilizes My Number Card authentication to facilitate swift and secure check-ins for evacuees.
- - Resource Management: Tools for managing supplies and automatically generating evacuee lists enhance operational efficiency.
- - Real-Time Monitoring: It visually presents the number of residents and current crowd status in evacuation centers through a management interface and map, allowing municipal staff to stay informed without extra workload.
- - Integrated Daily Use Functions: Aside from emergency functionalities, it offers users a unified platform for everyday public facility reservations and community interaction.
The integration with
VACAN Maps allows users to access real-time crowd information regarding nearby facilities directly through the map interface. This feature is already being utilized in over 200 municipalities to display evacuation center congestion. The system was successfully tested in real disasters, including Typhoon No. 7 in August 2023 and the Noto Peninsula earthquake in January 2024, demonstrating its effectiveness in crisis situations.
Public Facility Reservation System (tami tami)
Developed with the goal of fostering comfortable living environments for community members, this system integrates:
- - Identity Verification: It employs My Number Card for secure identity checks.
- - Electronic Payments: Making transactions easier for users.
- - Smart Lock Features: Offering enhanced security for facility access.
This service not only enhances user convenience but also significantly reduces the workforce demands on municipal employees, leading to greater operational efficiency. Furthermore, it accommodates complex pricing structures and various lending rules, ensuring a smooth transition from traditional reservation methods such as phone calls and emails to a more streamlined digital system.
