Oklahoma Complete Health Expands Benefits for SoonerSelect Members in 2025
Oklahoma Complete Health has officially announced a range of new and improved benefits designed to better serve its SoonerSelect members starting in 2025. These enhancements are part of the organization’s commitment to improving health outcomes and ensuring the well-being of its members throughout Oklahoma. The President and CEO of Oklahoma Complete Health, Clay Franklin, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming changes, highlighting the organization’s focus on adapting to the unique needs of Oklahomans.
New Initiatives to Support Families
One of the most significant new offerings is the
Diaper Club, set to launch on July 1. This service will provide financial assistance of $30 per month specifically for infants aged 0 to 1 year, ensuring parents enrolled in the Start Smart for Your Baby program can maintain their baby's essential needs without added financial stress.
Expanded Prescription Coverage
In a notable improvement to the existing healthcare coverage, Oklahoma Complete Health has announced changes concerning prescription medications. Essential medicines relating to infections, seizures, mental health, heart health, and diabetes will not contribute to the six-prescription monthly limit imposed on members. This alteration is expected to facilitate better access to necessary medications for those who need it most, ultimately leading to better health outcomes.
Enhanced Over-The-Counter Benefits
Beginning July 1, the over-the-counter benefit will see an expansion from a household-based allowance to an individual one. Each member will receive a quarterly benefit of $30, allowing them to purchase essential OTC items such as cold medicines and vitamins. This move is aimed at empowering members to take greater control over their health and wellness by providing them with necessary health products.
Improved Transportation Services
Understanding the barriers that limited transportation can create, Oklahoma Complete Health is enhancing its transportation services as well. Effective immediately, members can now bring up to four family members on rides to doctor's appointments. Additionally, members will have access to up to 15 rides to essential places such as grocery stores and pharmacies, or even to job interviews. This shift aims at making healthcare more accessible and relieving transportation challenges for many families.
Continued Commitment to Member Well-Being
Last April, Oklahoma Complete Health began its journey with the SoonerSelect members with a clear objective: to enhance health outcomes and member satisfaction. In its inaugural year, the organization made impressive strides, completing over 11,651 referrals to address social determinants of health and connecting members to valuable resources. Furthermore, they helped more than 2,500 members make use of Food Rx benefits, facilitated over 20,684 YMCA visits promoting healthy living, and distributed more than $2.1 million in reward dollars for engagement in healthy activities.
Pam C., an Oklahoma Complete Health member, shared her positive experience, emphasizing how the organization’s services have greatly improved her family’s quality of life, thanks to offerings like transportation and tutoring. She appreciates the proactive communication from Oklahoma Complete Health, stating they often check in with members to ensure all needs are being met.
