Sendai Trust City Winter Illumination 2025-2026

The Sendai Trust City will host its highly anticipated event, the Winter Illumination 2025-2026, from November 28, 2025, to February 28, 2026. This enchanting display promises to illuminate the winter nights in Sendai with approximately 46,000 beautiful lights strategically arranged throughout the venue.

A Dazzling Display of Lights

The Trust City Plaza, the main venue of the event, will be adorned with splendid champagne gold lights wrapped around the zelkova trees, creating a picturesque atmosphere. Guests can look forward to returning month after month, as the illumination’s design will change, ensuring a fresh experience with each visit.

Lighting Ceremony

The official lighting ceremony will take place on the first day, November 28, starting at 4:30 PM. This year’s event will include a Candle Night that has historical significance, having originated after the Great East Japan Earthquake. The lighting ceremony will spark a warm ambiance as the candles light up the area.

Additionally, a unique Countdown Live performance featuring Liho, Yohei Ito, and the voice of LOVE—three talented artists active in the Sendai region—will help celebrate the start of the illumination season. Each performance uniquely enhances the overall experience of the event.

Participate in the Instagram Photo Contest

Visitors are also encouraged to participate in the official Instagram Photo Contest. The best submissions will be rewarded, with one grand prize winner receiving an ¥10,000 gift certificate from the Westin Hotel Sendai and three excellent prize winners receiving ¥3,000 gift certificates for the Trust City Plaza.
