The renowned handmade Chinese dim sum specialist, PAOPAO, is set to unveil a refreshed location at Eki-naka Ueno, inside the bustling JR Ueno Station. The reopening is scheduled for November 18, 2025, marking a new era for this beloved takeaway shop. This brand-new design not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also emphasizes cleanliness and comfort, making it an even more inviting stop for commuters, students, and tourists alike.

A Taste of Autumn: Limited Edition Chestnut Bun

To commemorate the reopening, PAOPAO will introduce an exciting seasonal treat—the Chestnut Anman (sweet steamed bun filled with chestnut paste). This delightful creation, featuring an adorable panda stamp, will be available exclusively at the Ueno store from November 18 to December 31. Expertly crafted by skilled artisans in-house, each bun is filled with sweet chestnut purée and comes with candied chestnuts, offering a taste of fall in every bite. Priced at just 324 yen (tax included), this charming bun is perfect for sharing or enjoying on the go, showcasing the whimsical spirit of Ueno.

Grand Reopening Celebrations with Special Offers

In celebration of its grand reopening, PAOPAO Ueno will offer special deals that patrons won't want to miss. From November 18 to 20, limited to 50 sets per day, customers can enjoy a set featuring three types of shumai (pork, shrimp, and meat) along with stamina dumplings—12 pieces in total—for just 1,600 yen (tax included).

Meanwhile, a stand-alone shumai selection will be available from November 18 to 23 with no limits on quantities. This set also consists of 12 pieces for only 1,249 yen (tax included), ensuring that there's something for every dumpling lover.

Meet ‘PAOton’: The Official Mascot

To mark this occasion, PAOPAO has introduced its official character, PAOton. An official website dedicated to PAOton has launched, inviting fans to explore and discover more about this cute mascot. Visitors can even purchase LINE stickers featuring PAOton directly from the site, helping to enhance the brand's community presence.
