This summer, Keio Plaza Hotel is thrilled to introduce a special opportunity for children to step into the exciting world of hospitality. From July 1 to August 31, the hotel will host a unique summer accommodation program designed for elementary and junior high school students, where they can experience the jobs of a bell attendant and a bartender firsthand. Not only will they learn valuable skills, but they will also create unforgettable memories with their families.

The hotel, located in the heart of Shinjuku, Tokyo, has crafted two distinct programs: the “Children’s Hotel Staff Experience” and the “Children’s Bartender Experience.” Both programs allow participants to enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at hotel operations while being guided by seasoned professionals who work every day in the hospitality industry.

Children’s Hotel Staff Experience Program

In the Children’s Hotel Staff Experience, participants will don authentic bell attendant uniforms and engage in a 30-minute personalized training session with a professional bell attendant. They will learn essential hospitality skills, including how to greet guests with the proper etiquette, how to guide them through the hotel, and how to explain room features. This interactive experience provides children with practical skills and boosts their confidence in a real-world setting.

After completing their training, each child will walk their families to their rooms, putting their newly acquired skills into practice. The day will conclude with a graduation ceremony at the guest relations desk, where participants will receive a special drink or snack voucher for the hotel's 47th floor, SKY PLAZA IBASHO, as a reward for their hard work.

Program Details:

• - Duration: July 1 - August 31 (limited to one room per day)
• - Pricing: Starting from ¥29,800 per person (for two sharing a room) or ¥22,500 per person (for three sharing a room), inclusive of the kids' work experience, breakfast, and service charges.
• - Eligibility: Open to elementary and junior high school students (height of 110cm or taller).
• - Activities: Experience takes place on the day of check-in, starting at 14:00.
• - Benefits: Early check-in at 14:00, complimentary access to the sky pool, and the use of SKY PLAZA IBASHO.

Children’s Bartender Experience Program

For those interested in mixology, the Children’s Bartender Experience allows children to create their own non-alcoholic drinks under the supervision of award-winning bartenders at the hotel’s main bar, “Briand.” In this session, participants will learn the fundamentals of drink crafting, including flavor combinations and presentation skills, using professional bartending tools.

Moreover, family members will play the role of customers, tasting the innovative drinks concocted by the young bartenders. This program is designed to be both fun and educational, enabling kids to explore their creativity in a lively bar setting.

• - Duration: July 1 - August 31 (limited to three groups per day, weekdays only)
• - Pricing: Same as the Hotel Staff Experience; starting from ¥29,800 per person for two sharing or ¥22,500 for three.

About SKY PLAZA IBASHO

In March 2024, the SKY PLAZA IBASHO will open, offering a relaxing space designed for guests to enjoy in their own style. Spread over 1,100 square meters and divided into six zones, it caters not only to hotel guests but also to external visitors. The facility features a library with power and USB ports for work, a park-like area with hammocks, and multipurpose rooms for events like online meetings and karaoke.
