Harbour BioMed Welcomes Dr. Dhavalkumar Patel as Scientific Advisor

Dr. Patel is recognized for his remarkable two-decade career, during which he has contributed significantly to therapeutic innovation across both industry and academia. He currently holds the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer at Sana Biotechnology, where he has been instrumental in steering significant advancements in biopharmaceuticals since 2024.
Prior to his tenure at Sana, Dr. Patel served as Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer at UCB, where his leadership played a vital role in the development and registration of several key therapies, including bimekizumab (Bimzelx®), rozanolixizumab (Rystiggo®), and zilucoplan (Zilbrysq®). His prior experience at Novartis further enriched his expertise, as he was pivotal in advancing multiple therapies such as secukinumab (Cosentyx®) and fingolimod (Gilenya®). His history also includes a significant academic career as an eminent professor, leading major research initiatives at the University of North Carolina and Duke University.
In his new role at Harbour BioMed, Dr. Patel will provide critical strategic insight, leveraging his extensive experience to guide the company’s ambitions in building a comprehensive immunology pipeline.
