Shanghai Electric Empowers Local Talent Through Eight-Day Training Program in China
On December 24, 2024, Shanghai Electric successfully concluded an intensive eight-day training program for twenty employees from the Thar Coalfield Block I Energy Integration Project in Pakistan. Highlights included workshops on corporate culture and advanced technologies at Shanghai Electric, as well as a tour of the manufacturing site of the Shanghai Boiler Factory. The group also visited the headquarters of Shanghai Electric, where they learned about the company’s vision of "Creating Our Future Together," enhancing their understanding of the company's approach to innovation and collaboration.
One participant, Zia ul Qama, a commercial operations manager for the Thar project, reflected on the enriching experience, stating, "Observing China's rich culture while learning more about Shanghai Electric's activities was inspiring. This program motivated me to strive harder toward achieving both the company’s objectives and my personal learning goals."
The Thar Coalfield Block 1 Energy Integration Project, operational since February 2023, plays a critical role in meeting Pakistan’s energy demands, boasting an annual output of 9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, sufficient to power nearly 4 million households. This project stands as a representation of Shanghai Electric's commitment to promoting sustainable growth and social progress.
